Beginners

Many prospective students wonder whether it is even possible to learn how to play the piano as an adult. My answer is yes.

I’ve often found that adult beginners are quick learners. I provide a strong foundation on which to build, and share in their delight when they soon go from not knowing a single note to playing little pieces.

Returning Students

For adults wanting to return to the piano, I determine what they remember and work on any gaps in their knowledge. These students often move quickly past their previous level to more advanced repertoire.

Advanced Musicians

Advanced pianists sometimes want an introduction to new repertoire or help with the technical challenges of difficult pieces. Most often, they are looking for guidance with interpretation; they can play the notes, but are searching for how to express the music.
